XFCE Power Manager and UPS

So I purchased a CyberPower CP800AVR UPS which connect to the PC with a USB cord and to my pleasant surprise I see the XFCE Power Manager can display the status of the UPS.
I also run Linux Lite on my laptop and I have used the settings in power manager to shut down the laptop when the power is low.
So I was wondering, will the Power Manager monitor the UPS and shut down the system if the power gets low?

Just purchased a CyberPower CP800AVR UPS due to storms in the SouthEast which have caused two power outages in the last three weeks. Cyberpower has a command line utility for Linux which is a bit of a disappointment. I wondered if anyone knew of any other software that might work? The UPS connects through a USB and I can get status through the command line but would love to see something in the tray if possible.
-- Never mind, looked over at the tray and there is a little icon showing the UPS and it's charge state. The more I use Linux Lite the more I am impressed.

Can't install Dukto in LL50

Dukto is a handy lan file transfer program that I have used a lot in LL48.
It requires no configuration and does not need an internet connection.
However, it won't install in LL50; it gives the following error:
Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libqt4-declarative (>=4:4.7.0~rc1)
This happens when I click on the .deb file, dukto_6.0-1_amd64.deb
which I believe is the latest and last version (it's no longer supported).
Any idea how to fix this or is there an alternative file transfer program
similar to Dukto ?

3.8 32-bit on early 2006 MacBook Pro: Boot fails one time out of two

Hi everyone,
I'm new here, but not entirely a Linux newbie. I need some advice and/or guidance on this matter, though: I recently decided to insuflate a little life in my aging and beloved early 2006 MacBook Pro that was forever stuck with Snow Leopard due to its 32-bit-only CoreDuo CPU, and tested several Linux distros before settling down (I think) with Linux Lite.
Of course, i can't install the latest release, so I'm running 3.8 (32-bit...), fully up-to-date, and install was relatively painless.
I may have a hardware compatibility issue, though, whether with the graphics card or TPM module (I thought my MBP didn't have one, but I saw a few error messages about it in verbose reboot), that are causing startup to fail every other time.
In other words, I shutdown Lite, and it doesn't matter if I'm restarting or doing a cold boot, one time out of two, like clockwork, boot will stop at the "feather screen", and the Mac will restart. I'll see the rEFInd screen again, then grub, and only then will Lite actually boot.
It's not random, it happens precisely one time out of two, so I'm a bit at a loss as to why, and how I can correct that.

Hello, i tried to dual boot windows 7 and linux lite in my hp all in one omni 120. At first i had this problem "No EFI system partition was found". So i search in some forums and the solution was creating an Efi partition (256MB). After this linux lite started the installation but at some point it fails and show this error: “executing grub-install dev/sda failed" "fatal error".
Again looking for a solution ive reached this website that says enter in live mode and execute some commands in the terminal to solve it, the problem is that when i tried to launch in live mode it "crashes" and shows the entire screen in one color and start switching colors in loop.
The other problem is that i cant boot in windows because the bootable option doesn't appear anymore in the Bios.

Last week I was able to log onto HBOMAX and watch a show via the Firefox browser. Last night I attempted to watch the latest episode and now I cannot play any titles from the website. The error is "Can't Play Title, We're having trouble playing this video. Try again later." In the interim I installed the latest patches. I have used Timeshift to revert to an image available from a few days before the patching. Unfortunately this has not resolved the problem. I even attempted to install the Chromium browser but was met with the same trouble. Linux (of any flavor) is not on the supported OS list. The rub of it is is that it did work. Any ideas out there? I thought maybe it may have to do with DRM content but I'm really sure how to pursue that. Or maybe I need a different codec?
