************* Found a driver on the Realtek site. *************
It is
2.5G Ethernet LINUX driver r8125 for kernel up to 5.6 9.007.01 2021/11/17 87 KB
Will this work? Has the LL 5.8 related to the kernel 5.8? In which case I presume a LL 5.6 should be installed?
Hi. Been using Linux Lite on an old laptop for some time for presentations and backing up my Rasp Pi. Works well. Thanks for making it.I thought I would try it on a new build MSI B550M. Installed latest LL 5.8 OK to a SSD but no internet connection. The MSI B550M has a Realtek® RTL8111H 2.5GB Ethernet. There are no Linux drivers on the MSI site. Is there a Linux driver for this, even at 1GB?
BTW, I booted with a tails-amd64-4.26 on a USB stick and that can connect to the internet, so the the hardware is working.
Thanks for reading.
Alan

Hi, linux lite user here. Recently my mouse has been bugging me. I mean it is getting disconnected at random times during the day :banghead. This is a new problem because a few weeks ago it was working just fine. The problem arose when i disconnected the mouse manually from the 'mouse and touchpad' app. I then renabled the mouse with xinput. Since then it keeps getting disconnected; I checked the ports, they were fine. Also it seems like the mouse has been programmed to disconnect at session startup hrug. So every time i boot the computer i have to renable the mouse.

I have been looking how to have each directory to have its own view settings (as in Windows Explorer).
One thread in Reddit says: "This feature is available in 4.16"
(source: https://www.reddit.com/r/xfce/comments/l...c_folders/)
So, I found that version and downloaded it. But, before I installed it, I checked the version currently running. It tells me it is 1.8.14.
I then decided to look for a release map and found this:
https://repology.org/project/thunar/versions
Is the version in Linux Lite (and other distros) really 3 releases behind the current, or is some other numbering scheme running to reflect something else?
Just looking for some clarity here.
