This is a weird problem and probably not what is really intended by "games support" but I had installed sudoku and it worked a couple of times but now it just doesn't respond when I click on it. i googled it and saw some people had a similar problem but supposedly it was fixed in the latest version. Any ideas? I can see launchpadintegration on the installed list, but this is the error I get when I run the command in the terminal:
Quote:ERROR:root:Could not find any typelib for LaunchpadIntegration

| [CLOSED]Software Update - Now Missing From Menu |

Hi,
When I 1st installed I'm sure there was the Software Update item in the Menu below run program..?
Actually looking at the on-line manual, that shows "Install Updates" & "Help Manual"
It seems to have disappeared.? I have "Web Browser" & "Mail Reader"
I have done no edits to menu, only changed clock to 24hr mode, and added date.
What did it point at(file) maybe I can re-create/add it back.?
UPDATE: #1
It appears(I think) that the "Names" (Descriptions) changed..??
The item that says "Mail Reader" is pointing at:
Code: xdg-open /usr/share/doc/xfce4-utils/html/C/index.html
The item that says "Web Browser" is pointing at:
Code: lxterminal --geometry=95x25 -e ./updates
Working Directory = /usr/scripts
So I could change the "Names" , But why did they change..??
UPDATE: #2
After another test, in Virtualbox, It appears changing Locale from US to GB causes the change
Thanks ... Dave

Would Linux Lite work as a home server currently i am running Windows 7 as my home server OS as i cannot afford nor want to spend several hundred dollars on purchasing the Windows Server OS so i was thinking of testing out linux for a server OS but as i am noob with linux i want something simple to setup i am not comfortable or used to the command line yet so i need a gui and programs to help me get setup with things like Samba, and mounting NTFS drives (i have too much stuff to copy off an d formant to ext4 plus like the ability to use drives in my windows computers if needed so want to stick with NTFS)
has anyone tried it or can recommend it for use as a home server OS or should i try one of the server based distro's instead which seem more complicated i have tried using webmin but too many options so i get confused all i need is simple file sharing and backups also want to install my software for Usenet Downloading

I have been trying LL on a flashdrive and now want to do a hard drive installation. (Computer: HP microtower, 80 GB ATA, 2 GB RAM, Win XP) I want to keep XP and a few Win programs, at least for the time being, using it as a "local only" computer (running alongside Windows, i.e.). A couple of times I clicked on "Install" from the desktop, and looked at some of the screens, but did not complete installation. A screen said the computer "has multiple operating systems." I unmounted as suggested. Now, instead on having an icon for 80 GB File System on desktop, I have one for 64 GB File System and one for 14 GB File System (latter is full of Linux files.) I.e., sda1 (ntfs) 59.60 GiB with 12.29 unused; sda2 extended 14.93; sda5 ext4 13.06 with 12.55 unused, and sda6 linux-swap 1.87. Slider is set at 8.4 and 5.6, movable to 7.7 and 6.3. I thought I should allow 20 GB for a linux partition. Looking for some suggestions here on what I should do. Did I accidentally install some files? Also thinking about adding a second 80 GB drive (for LL) and leaving the existing HD as is. Thanks for help. Max
