[SOLVED] Resizing extended partition

I have a dual-boot arrangement with LL2.0 (32bit) and Windows Vista on a laptop, and I'm trying to increase the size of the LL partition using GParted. A screenshot of the current partition structure is attached.
I have already reduced the size of the Windows partition (/dev/sda3), to create 29GB of unallocated space adjacent to /dev/sda4, which I want to add to the LL partition, /dev/sda6. The Gparted Manual says "If you are growing a logical partition, then the unallocated space must be within the extended partition" and "You can move unallocated space to be inside or outside of the extended partition by resizing the extended partition boundaries".
When I select the /dev/sda6 partition, the Resize/Move option in GParted's Partition menu is available, but I can't make the partition bigger, as expected. However, when I select the /dev/sda4 extended partition, the Resize/Move option is greyed-out, so I can't extend it into the unallocated space.
I have tried booting from a live CD so that the hard drive is unmounted, but it makes no difference.
Any suggestions, please?

[SOLVED] 32 bit or 64 bit Linux Lite?

The computer in question is a Gateway laptop MX6426 with AMD TURION 64 Mobil Technology ML-40 processor; 2.19 GHz 1 Gb RAM. Currently running Windows XP SP3 Media Center Edition which is 32 bit.
I believe the processor is 64 bit, but if so why would they put a 32 bit system on it at the factory?
If I dual boot Linux Lite, would I be better off with 32 bit or 64 bit OS? Pros/Cons?
Any thoughts appreciated, the 32/64 bit thing is pretty vague to me. Thanks!

Where can one find actual name of Application?

Did a screenshot today and sent it to the Clipboard. Can't find the Clipboard. Application Finder requires the proper App name to find it. Had the same problem with Image Viewer until finding the proper App name. Please, where/how does one find a proper/actual Application name? Did a search here and found info on how to remove whisker menu items (Very Helpful), only, there were no Clipboard files located in ~/.local/share/applications nor in /etc/skel/.local/share/applications/. Thanks in advance.

I recently built myself a new PC (just like i said I would), and have installed Linux Lite as one of the OSes, and the OS seems to be ever faster on it! However, I have a problem with a game I'm trying to play (and maybe others too), there's no sound...
The game is called Mania Drive, and it worked perfectly on my old Laptop, albeit with frame-rate issues, but no problems when it came to sound.
On my new, top of the range PC, it can't play sound at all! No matter what I try, I can't get anything out of it!
I tried running the game using the terminal, and this was what came out:

I noticed it said it was unable to load the sound system, but when I went to look it up, I only found one, unresolved topic, made years ago, about this issue.
I can't test any other games yet, as I've still to install any more, I'm downloading Super Tux Kart to see if the same problem occurs there, but my internet is being pretty slow right now, and it would take ages to download the full thing, so I can't do anything until then. If it helps, VLC has sound, and so does anything I play on Firefox.
EDIT: I also tried playing something from a CD in VLC while playing the game, the game cut off the sound completely! I can't play it again!
So what do I do?

Compiz not working in Linuz Lite 2.0

First time poster in any forum.
I have recently installed Linux Lite 2.0 64 bit on my computer (Update from previous version 1.08.)
I have done all the updates after install.
I went to Synaptic Package Manager to install compiz and discovered it was already installed.
I closed Synaptic Package Manager and went to the Whisker Menu to start compiz but could not locate it.
I typed in compiz in the search bar and came up with nothing.
I went to Synaptic Package Manager and installed the compiz fusion icon, went to whisker menu, clicked on compiz fusion. It is on the panel but still will not open.
I had no problem with compiz in Linux Lite 1.08. How do you get it to work in Linux Lite 2.0?
