I noticed in my menu bar Install RELEASE and it says something about installing LL permanently. Is this the newest release because I have 2.4 which I thought was the latest release. Sorry to be a pain but I've gone thru a lot just to get LL installed on a USB stick.
Thanks everybody,
Larry

I'm trying to install a package I downloaded...it's K3b-2.0.3a.tar.xz It's located in /home/crazylarry/downloads
I typed in the terminal sudo apt-get install K3b-2.0.3a.tar.xz but all I got was a message that it couldn't find it so do I need to include the path in the command or do I need to do something different?
Thanks to anyone who can help. This is my first time at the rodeo.

| NO UK Keyboard on Install [Solved] |

Just a quick note that has to be easy to fix as other Distro's do not suffer from this.
Why, having Chosen and set my Keyboard as UK and Set location as London during the install are these not the default settings on login?
I know how to fix it, that's not the point, it simply does not give a good impression to absolute beginners to Linux.
Whereas the rest of Linux Lite is Excellent at helping new converts enjoy the full benefits.
OK apologies, mini moan over.... back to enjoying Linux Lite

The machine I am using has had LL installed the longest. I have noticed that it has slowed down significantly. What sort(s) of things can I look for to speed it up again to its original performance. I update, clean using lite twiks and run the virus scanner regularly.

Hi folks,
I've got a brand new install of LL 2.4 x86 and everything is going great. The person I set it up for needs visual helps, so I was able to increase the size of the mouse pointers through the desktop manager. But is there any way to increase the weight of the text cursor to make it more visible?
Thanks,

;D I almost forgot what day this is.
For those us us who live in the USA.
This is the day on which 239 years ago, we as a collection of 13 colonies belonging to British Empire. Signed and sent to our Sovereign a document declaring our break with, and Independence from the same.
Happy Independence Day.

Howdy All:
Venting time for me, frustration level past the redline.
Problem: Game called Mahjongg Ascension from Worlds Best Mahjongg Games by Value Soft. Includes World Jongg and Ultimate Mahjongg 20. both which work fine.
Reason for Problem: This is my Mother's favorite game. This game requires Flash Player. After about three months of weekends trying to get this to work in Wine with LL and other distro's I gave up.
I upgraded my HTPC, taking the old board which was duel boot Win 7, Mint 17 and building a new computer for her. Because this board was married to my copy of Win 7, I reloaded it and installed all her old XP software.
Everything worked perfectly. Then the hard drive started losing the MBR. I know this is the death knewld for a hard drive, so I installed a different one. (BTW this drive is still alive with LL 2.4 on it).
I've installed all software back on new drive. Now this game Mahjonng Ascension is telling me it needs Flash Player to run. I have installed it using both the included 9.0c version as well as the latest version from Adobe.
This is the problem I had trying to get it working in LL with Wine and now same problem Native?!!
Any and all suggestions welcomed. Thank you in advance.
Robert

Howdy All:
I was going to post a Windows 7 rant, but feel much better now.
I was having problems with the Bold Radio Button not turning off when no longer required.
Don't know if this is my end or a site problem. Could someone else try it and see.
Take care All.
