hello, I have poste dthis problem before but nobody seems to know so I will try once more 

When I reduce my firefox tab/tabs it/they disappear and can't be found except when I'm logging off and it checks that I really want to close them . Where are they and what am I doing wrong, it's frustrating because I keep forgetting not to reduce my tabs and am losing stuff.

I feel stupid and it might be something very simple but!! any suggestions gratefully received.

I have a problem for PHP files.
I set Atom editor for PHP files but when i put enter on PHP files, they didn't open because they can open just with execute option.

Atom editor didn't set to default. All time i must use of "open with" on right click action.

When My computers stays at idle and locks itself after the 10 minute of inactivity that I set for the display to go blank. The problem is that when I come to unlock it , It takes a bit of time to unlock then it shows me the desktop for like a millisecond and brings me back to the login page again and I have to login again to use my computer normally afterwards ... any solution to that ?

Hi Every one, I was given an old computer by my son and Ive tried about 5 Linux systems ,finally settling on Linux Lite, Why? Because it easy to set up, and it seemed to take my wifi with out any fuss.

I am NOT a Linux expert by any means. I have a rudimentary idea how to operate it only.
The problem is I'm running Linux Lite 3.8 Kernel 4.4.0-166
When I go t o a photo or document to PRINT it the option to print is not listed in any drop down menu.
If I go to FILE there is NO option to print
If I right click on the image there is NO option to print
The only way I can print is to right click and open GNU and print from its menu.
The PRINT option used to work as you'd expect it to,now it does not.
Please help. I will need step by step DETAILED instructions on how to correct this problem if it can be fixed.

Recently my Linux 3.8 PC had reached it's use by date and I transferred the hard drive to a more modern 32bit PC. Some minor hitches associated with getting the OS up and running but the main problem is a failure to update. Full details are included in the attached log file. 1. No signal when waking from suspend, but cant turn off by pressing ctrl+alt+del and then alt+d or by ctrl+alt+f2, username, password ,poweroff
2. randomly jumps between very old image (in same session) and almost instantly to the "up to date (or up to time)" image. Even jumps from fullscreen games to a image when i had file manager window open and then in less than second switches back to fullscreen game.

Is the later common software issue or is my gpu likely to be failing.

Got in a batch of Dell Latitude E6410 laptops that I am trying to install Linux Lite version4.6 on. All is well until I get into the "Installation Type" screen. It is preset to load "Device for boot loader installation:" to /dev/sda. When I click on "Install Now" I get the following error message: Under the title "No Root File System" box it reads: "No root file system is defined" "Please correct this from the partitioning menu". Then the system takes me back to the prior screen.

Question: I formatted a drive before going through this install procedure. When i click on the "+" under "Change", the install crashes. It looks like the system does not see the sda drive. Any help would be appreciated.

J’ai tenté d’installer hier Heroes of Might & Magic 5 sur ma vieille tour équipée de Linux Lite 4.6 (base Ubuntu) à partir des dvd d’une « complete edition » (j’ai d’ailleurs installé le 3 sans problème, malgré son âge ça reste un petit bijou).

L’installation proprement dite via Wine se passe sans problème. Mais lorsque je lance le jeu, il semble ne pas reconnaître mes paramètres d’affichage : alors que j’ai un écran en 1920x1080, il semble chercher à s’afficher dans une résolution supérieure à 4000px ! Du coup, je ne vois qu’un bout de ce qui est sensé s’afficher, et le tout est extrêmement lent, jusqu’à se figer très rapidement. Bref, inutilisable.

Je précise que j'ai installé le pilote propriétaire NVIDIA pour la carte graphique plutôt que le pilote Linux générique. Bonne ou mauvaise idée ?

Comment résoudre ce problème ?

J’ai bien noté la présence d’une page wiki-ubuntu, donc le jeu est sensé fonctionner normalement.
