Just in case anyone was trying to install Ivideon Client on LL 5.0 or Ubuntu 20.04. I contacted the support team and informed that it currently does not work:
Dear User,
The SSL security certificates were changed in Ubuntu 20.04, so currently the released version of the Ivideon Client doesn't work with Ubuntu 20.04.
The updated version of Ivideon Client will support the Ubuntu 20.04 and it will be released very soon. Our specialists will definitely contact you.
I hope this will help some people.

| 3.8 (32-bit): Start Gigolo minimized to Plank on startup? |

Hi everyone,
I've installed Gigolo to facilitate my connecting to a Windows Server my MacBook Pro is tethered to via Ethernet. Gigolo works fine, but after adding it to the applications I want to launch on startup, I wonder how to have it start minimized in Plank (I've already anchored it to Plank).
There must be a command line argument to add, akin to the "-minimized" in Windows, but I don't know what it is. FWIW, "-minimized" does nothing.
How can I do that?
EDIT: Problem solved. I minimized Gigolo to Plank before shutting down Lite, and when it booted, Gigolo was already minimized in Plank, so all is well.

Hi everyone,
Though i really like Lite, it's becoming a nightmare using it on a daily basis. I reinstalled just last night after another round of arduous booting issues, and now, when I press the Power button, I'm only disconnected, not asked what I'd like to do.
I've tried to change the entry in the menu, reboot, put it back to "Ask", no go. I press the button, I'm back to the login screen.
I must add that I upgraded to the 5.8 kernel in Lite Tweaks, which came as a surprise, because I thought that branch was restricted to 64-bit, and my 2006 MacBook Pro can only run 32-bit.
Ideas, anyone?
EDIT: Problem solved. I must have inadvertently unchecked the "Show dialogue" box. Once checked, I had the choice to shutdown, restart, etc... again.

Hello,
I've recently installed the newest version of Linux Lite 5.0 on my older HP Stream BCM943142HM. When I attempt to find WiFi there is a rectangle in the lower right corner with an x on it that says "No network devices available". I am able to connect to my WiFi on my phone, new Acer Laptop running Microsoft. I am also able to connect to my WiFi when I use the live boot of Linux Lite on my new laptop. I'm unsure of how to fix this issue after googling and looking around the forum for an answer. Unfortunately the HP laptop I am trying gain WiFi access through does not have an ethernet port, so that it is not an option for internet.
My network card is:
Code: Network:
Device-1: Broadcom and subsidiaries BCM43142 802.11b/g/n driver: N/A
When I enter rfkill list it states:
Code: 0: hci0: Bluetooth
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no
I'm not sure what my options are and am very new to Linux. I apologize as this is a frequent question however was unable to find an answer that rectified my current situation.
Thank you!

I had an install of LL 5.x on a computer I haven't been using regularly. I updated today... 77 days since my last update. In about 25 minutes all was done along with a successful reboot afterwards with no issues. In today's Linux world this is a remarkable achievement by an obviously meticulous developer. It has been my experience for some time now that Linux Lite is the most stable of all the Ubuntu derivatives and I believe that is because of its developer's dedicated attention to detail.
