Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a nice life. Glad to be here. I've been using Linux Lite for quite a few weeks now, again, since I've used it in the past before. I'm on the XFCE flavor which I must say is my favorite desktop environment; really lightweight and easy to use. I've used XFCE in almost any distro I've tried. I hope we can share experiences, tips, hows to, best practice advices. I'm not expert or whatsoever, but I'll try my best ;D.
Without each others help there ain't no hope for us

Welcome! You'll like it here! Like Steve mentioned, people on the forums are nice, they really act like human beings!
Except me, because I'm just a sentient entity roaming the Intertubes!
I prefer XFCE too, since I am also new to Linux, the Whisker menu with it's program description is what sold it to me.
To be fair, I was also impressed by Moshka's eye candy from Bodhi Linux 4.1.0 which used about 100MB of RAM after booting up.
But, it's buggy, and not so user friendly. LLLL- Long Live Linux Lite
Cheers!

Alot of us have come here from other Linux distros that are supposedly "beginner-friendly" and "lightweight," but this just simply beats them all.
n old axiom in Linux used to be that "speed is sacrificed for user-friendliness... You can have one or the other but not both."
Linux Lite breaks that old paradigm and proves you can indeed have simplicity, beginner-friendliness, and speed even on older hardware. Welcome here!

The Whisker menu is the default start Menu in Linux Lite, so you already tried and liked it

Things I learned in school in geographical classes are old and dated, but isn't there three Americas?

Could have changed though, like lots of countries names and even the number of planets in our solar system.
Cheers!
