I've installed Linux Lite on an older PC of a friend. Now he has installed LXDE. Will this make problems?

It shouldn't, not like installing something like KDE would.  But LL is designed around the Xfce desktop.  If (s)he really prefers the LXDE desktop, I might point him/her to LXLE or Lubuntu rather than adding a new desktop to Linux Lite.
