I was sitting there looking at the system requirements (new ones) and wondering if I should install it on a laptop like this since I have 8 GB of RAM and an Intel Core i3 1215u.

Not sure what your question is.

How does the system perform when booted from Live media ?
What year was the laptop made ?
Was it marketed as a high performance or budget model when new ?
What OS did it originally have and what is it currently running ?
