Recently my Linux 3.8 PC had reached it's use by date and I transferred the hard drive to a more modern 32bit PC. Some minor hitches associated with getting the OS up and running but the main problem is a failure to update. Full details are included in the attached log file. That mirror was shut down - change source/mirror via

A very big 'thank you' for providing the solution to the problem. The OS was inactive for some time while I sourced another PC to transfer the HDD to. Obviously the particular mirror I had been using (an Australian one if I remember correctly) lapsed over that time. No worries, my updates are now coming from little old New Caledonia. Many thanks again.
