You said that with GParted you can access your HDD.
Have you tried the GParted utility inside LinuxLite too?
When you boot do you see a flashing cursor at the top left?
Maybe try to rebuild the HDD filesystem, not just delete and recreate partitions.
Its in the GParted menu "create partition table" and choose MS-DOS / MBR .

Maybe you should download LL 4.0 again and see how it goes., just so you can confirm and discard it's not a corrupted .iso downloaded isssue. Have you tried LL 4.0 in virtualbox? This might be helpful too when narrowing the possible causes for your issue to happen.
