Hi Coastie. Whether your selling mobile phones, wedding cakes or performance cars, whatever it may be someone will always vent. Best to ignore it. Our feedback page begs to differ with that persons opinion :) Cheers.

I understand mate, it's best not to get entangled in that sorta thing, it's one voice amongst 1000's of otherwise happy LL folk. All we need to do is focus on the good we are doing. Every product or service whether it has a price or not is subject to attack once it goes public, it is the nature of things :)
Few people take the time to call McDonalds, ask for the manager, and tell the manager that they just had the BEST cheeseburger ever from their fast food place. Most just call to complain to the manager about poor customer service, screwed up order, etc. I always take people rants like that. Goes into the "Whatever" column. :)
You also have to think of this. No matter how pretty, how technologically advanced, how delicious, etc., a product will always have people that it doesn't sit well with. This is why we have so many distributions right now; no one single distro can solve everyone's wants and needs.
I'd also like to point out that if he based his experience on one negative scenario, then it's his fault. You can't really judge something until you've given it it's fair share of chances.

Maybe people become curious when they meet LL on Youtube or on another place.
Maybe they want to install and try things out themselves? :)
And maybe they notice this is a very, very nice Linux and a friendly forum.
It is all right as long they call your name... here, there, everywhere ;)

Here's a joke that gets to the point:
Q: Why do people complain (in retail)?
A: Because they can.
