Hello Manuk,
I can find Menu>Favorites>Install Updates
by Software Updater do you refer to -
Menu>System>Install/Remove Software (aka Synaptic Package manager)
or
Menu>All>Software & Updates (for choosing the sources of updates)
or
do you mean the Software Updater in Ubuntu OS upstream
or
something else ?

Sounds like what I am talking about might be "Software Updater" in Ubuntu OS upstream.

Menu>Favorites>Install Updates, it does updates from upstream at Ubuntu, and also it does updates from Linux Lite repositories. Including security patches.
If you have installed these Ubuntu Partner softwares, and any PPA it also does these updates.
Software Updater> Ubuntu OS, upstream it does updates from Ubuntu repositories, but not from Linux Lite repositories. It does security patches but not for LL repos.
It also does updates for Ubuntu Partner softwares and any PPA you have installed.
There may be some other differences, it would need one of the advanced users or one of the staff to explain these.
