Looks to only be a proof of concept at this point. It will be a pretty incredible step forward if they can get to the point of manufacturing.

Yes, probably will never make it out of a lab....
Like the decades of research into "Organic" based memory/storage, nothing really viable at present...
IBM have some new interesting memory stuff that possibly will make it out of the lab
