[size=1em]Using Gimp when I zoom into a photo I get lines across photo also I get this sometimes when I open a window with files like Home folder.[/size]
[size=1em]From the LLC shows there updates but get error "couldn't fetch the package cache information list.[/size]
[size=1em]I did go there to look at drivers Additional drivers but No additional drivers available. that what I did last time and worked but not this time.[/size]

Could try updates again. Maybe server was busy.
Which server are you using. menu/all/software & updates/ ubuntu software/ download from /other / united kingdom / select best server then with highlighted server choose best server and authenticate?? Then try updates again?? Might work.

Still getting this, and no drivers from LLCC.
Do I have to but a Graffix card?
Above when I zoom in to a photo 50 or 100%

Newer kernel would be worth a shot. Something 4.2 and up for Skylake chips. I'd try 4.4

Thanks this was the kernel I got from Jerry. Get new computer online.
Update have updated kernel see how to do other thread now got from Linux 4.4.0-040400-generic.
Still got screen error in GIMP.
Think I use virtualbox as I have an old copy of Photoshop.

I don't know here you got that kernel from, it shouldn't matter, but we do provide our own.
