Hi Guy's. I need a new photo printer. Have been looking at the Cannon MG4250 all in one. It would suit my needs and the price is not too high. Just £49. But.......How can I make it run on my Linux Lite? I read that Cannon do have the drivers for Linux, so in theory I could do this, but I need assurances before I lash out the £49 to buy it. I am hopeless at downloading and installing drivers. Got LL 2.2 and have still not been able to get it up and running (Sorry Dave) and the thought of trying to coax my Dell Optiplex GX260 to accept this software is keeping me awake nights. I am that scared. At 82 I should be in my golden years, enjoying everything, but I am not. Does anyone have any advice? Is there any member in the Hull area maybe as I am too ill to travel more than a couple of hundred yards. Can I just throw this into the melting pot and hope? Regards Walt

		After looking in the manual:

These are the links to some driver resources that are listed in the manual, I can't find that printer model on them.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupportC...tsPrinters
I did not check the following link as it is listed as a paid service.

It is generally recommended that you use HP printers as they have better support under Linux.

Hi you don't want to mess with drivers, go with HP. There will for sure be an equivalent model.

I have a Cannon MG2520 printer for printing, copying and scaning. I bought it from Walmart (USA) with the understanding that I could take it back if it did not work. Linux Lite found it right away with no problems.
