Just picked up an Acer C720. Installed xubuntu through crouton but would prefer to run Linux Lite. Any plans to release a Chromebook edition?
Thanks!

There are no plans for alternative editions of Linux Lite. Of course people are welcome to produce separate community editions of Linux Lite providing they stick to our design, application and philosophy ideals.

Hello!
If I've started a war here, I apologize.
An ARM version of LL would satisfy both Chromebook and Pi users. However, from my understanding, ARM is quite different from x86 architecture - which I guess is why it took awhile for Ubuntu to come out with an ARM version.
Perhaps if there was an ARM version of Xubuntu, LL for ARM would be more of a possibility. Even so, a considerable amount of additional financial support for LL would be necessary for something like that to actually happen. People would need sample devices to test it on, and such a project would require enough extra development manpower to not adversely affect supporting LL's core user base.
In a nutshell, if enough folks believed in it strongly enough to fund its development, it would be possible. In the 15 months I've been hanging out here, I've seen this OS grow by leaps and bounds...

We've got our hands full at the moment with development. For me personally, I'm spending nearly every spare minute outside of working life on LL code. We're currently writing a point and click Samba Share application (thanks to Misko), we're also working on a new theme pack called 'lite-themes' that will include a large collection of tested mouse, icon and desktop themes as an all-in-one, not to mention additions to the new Help Manual, and prepping for LL 2.6 in September.

Owning a Acer C710 myself. Instead of Crouton. I would swing CHRUBUNTU myself

It is a true Linux type of laptop dual boot install. Hell. You can even install Windows on a Chromebook after changing the chromebook bios over to CoreBoot Bios.
The Bios is the lock down on these things and hoops needs jumping through for a coreboot install.

I mess with my Chrome Book about as much as I do with my Iphone 5S with IOS8.3.
Hardly ever.
