Buy without a test drive!
#1

As you may have already or seen on You Tube, Elementary OS wants you to donate to download their distro http://http://blog.elementaryos.org/post...0/payments.  :o

I have distro hopped looking for the distro for me. Some I downloaded and liked. Some I could not even install because of no automatic partitioning. I stopped using a rolling release after GUI updater broke. I am still using Linux Lite that I started using in January last year after trying the rolling release for about a month. I still watch and read reviews and download distros to see what they look like and to try find a backup in case my chosen distro, Linux Lite is ever discontinued.  :'(

I have donated to Linux Lite after using awhile and probably will again. :)  I would not "donate" just to try a distro out whether I installed it or just tried it on the live DVD/CD.

I won't buy a car without a test drive either.  ;D

Hello!

Coastie, I know what you mean. Besides this one, I haven't run into very many distros I'd support, either - financially or otherwise.

As I approach one year of using LL and participating in the forums here, I guess it's time for me to became a 'donator' - a title that, albeit a correct one, seems a little bit awkward to me. Perhaps it has to something to do with 'the Queen's English'...

Maybe it is the New Zealand English dialect?  ;)

Hello!

If Her Majesty does, it doesn't show, so the world may NEVER know!

A doughnut is a doughnut, unless a cop is munching it. Then it becomes a 'donut', as in 'do nothing'...

Hello!

Jerry's show, Jerry's terminology. I can live with being a 'donator'...

I was very p*ssy when I became a "Senior Member" on the SolusOS forum.
I don't mind old git or most things but to say my member is old and feeble  and past it takes the bisquit even if it's true
