Setting a static ip for wireless is the same procedure as wired. In the tray, click on the Network icon, Connection information, there you will see existing network info like Subnet Mask. No need for new topic.

Maybe it's just an "upstream" thing, but I wonder why vbox is in there to begin with.  I don't think most Linux Lite users even use virtualbox.

VirtualBox support is included and has always been because this is how many people review an OS before they install it. Having the right support - clipboard, drag & drop, network, graphics etc gives a significantly better impression of an OS's function.

Better than a LiveUSB?  And do Windows users and newbies - the target market for this distro - use Virtualbox at all?  Is the Vbox support there for somewhat experienced users to test Linux Lite?

Perhaps a script and option to remove this performance-inhibiting drag on the system should be included in welcome screen or in Lite Tweaks or something.  It's bloatware as far as your target market is concerned IMHO.

A lot of YT reviews are done in VB too. Having it preinstalled greatly helps the review.

Until I get swathes of people describing LL as bloatware, I consider your opinion just that, and believe me, I get some pretty nasty emails sometimes with peoples descriptions of LL.

LOL don't get me wrong, I love my Linux Lite, and and happy with it!  I just can't imagine that newbies and Windows users have any use for Vbox, that's all.  If it help the project, then that matters too!

That's why I suggested a link or instructions in the Welcome screen or Lite Manual - maybe in Lite Tweaks - on removing Vbox for those of us who have no use for it, especially since it slows down boot times.
