Check whether you have ubuntu-restricted-extra installed from terminal:


Code:
dpkg -l | grep "ubuntu-restricted-extra"


If you see no output, then install ubuntu-restricted-extra:


Code:
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extra


Try your facebook video chat again.
