My machine is Dual Boot Windows XP & Linux Lite and the Hard drive is split into 5 partitions (inc. swap) with my LL Home on it's own Partition and Yes I did reformat the new LL 3.2 partition for installation.
As I said before I used exactly the same method as I have used to update 2.0 to 2.2 to 2.4 to 2.6
I am FULLY AWARE that there is no upgrade path, official or otherwise, between series
