FYI the Logitech cameras are well supported on Linux, you can get a cheap one with working sound/video out of the box, no hassles. Worth consideration. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/logitech-hd-...Id=9928354 To get your original hardware going you will need to do a lot of work in the terminal with no guarantee of success.
