I'm an Ubuntnoob but I hope I can assist you. Can you please provide more details on the error you have mentioned? I would also advice to plug in a cheap, wired keyboard for now in your device so you can keep continue your work. P.S. Upon logging out, I realized that onscreen keyboard is available in there (in top left, accessibility icon). Onscreen keyboard would be helpful for your instance. It also seems that your HP Pavillion x2 has a touchscreen display. If it works, it would be helpful to assist you in your inconvenience as of the moment.

I haven't been able to encounter this instance before so I'm afraid that I can't do much. However, this might help you. https://askubuntu.com/questions/1274890/...ot-working

I'm afraid I'm still not knowledgeable enough to deal with such instances. I reckon that it would be better temporarily for you to use an external keyboard.
