Change DNS server URL - to Pi-Hole server?

Hello All,
I have Linux Lite 3.8 on an older 32bit laptop
The Ubuntu version is 16.04
I've recently built a Pi-Hole system
When I select "Network" in the Linux settings - I can change the default IP address to my PI-hole address - and the system works.
But as soon as I restart the OS - it reverts back to the default IP address.
Can anyone tell me what file I should update with my PI-Hole's IP address - so that it becomes the default DNS IP address?
Sincere thanks!

What folder do are the panel icons located in?

Hello all,
I would like to create a few custom icons to add to the panel.
For example - I would like to create a new icon for the "Wisker Menu" on the panel.
When I open up the panel options - to select a different icon - I am hoping I can discover the folder in which these icons are located so that I can import the custom icons into that folder.
But the system does not indicate where that folder is located
And I've not been successful and doing searches for files that are in that folder -in order to get the path for that folder.
Any help or suggestion would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Translations are underway - Menu Entries

The first phase of Translations has begun.
I've recently quit my full-time job and taken on a new job that is part time. This will allow me to contribute more time to this project ;D
The easiest and less time demanding way to tackle translations, is to translate the Menu entries or .desktop files. This will address much of the feedback I have received to date about incomplete translation in the OS.
The root of the project is here - https://www.transifex.com/linux-lite/ (Sign in or Sign up first).
From there, you can choose a Lite application and it's .desktop file and begin translating (you will need to register first and then request to join the Linux Lite Team).
Once you've done all that, the website is pretty intuitive. At some point, I'll get around to doing a full tutorial, but to be honest, from what I've seen in other projects, if you have performed translations before, you can work the other stuff out too.
A good place to start is the Lite Autologin or Lite Desktop projects. These already have all the languages in place, Lite Tweaks does not.
For me, adding just one new Lite application to Transiflex takes a long time, so you can imagine adding all of the Lite apps will take a very long time, but I will chip away at it and get them all up eventually.
Have fun translating!
Thank you
========================================================
Quick tutorial:
- Register on the site (see above)
- Click on a Lite app on the left hand side:

- Click on Translate on the right side:
![[Image: qKV7DbQ.png]](https://imgur.com/qKV7DbQ.png)
- Select a Language to translate to:
![[Image: evu7teq.png]](https://i.imgur.com/evu7teq.png)
- You ONLY need to translate the Description. Please DO NOT translate anything else for the Menu entry files:

- To finish, click on Save Translation on the right.

I have been suffering from a recurring problem with two installs of LLite. I have read through the forum and see many people encountering this, no proper solution has ever been posted from what I can see.
The Password is correct, there is no error (screen error that says password is wrong) but screen simply refreshes and ask for password again. You can type the password a million times or until you turn blue in the face - whichever comes first.
Going into command line mode doesn't help - although you can login through command prompt - running startx gets you in a different UI than the default.
Trying to fix install of update through boot doesn't help - always running latest updates.
My only saviour todate is the quirkiness of this, that I would reboot and sometimes it would work, and sometimes not, then I would nbe lucky by trying one of the other installs or I would give up and go into Bodhi Linux.
I am just wondering why so many have faced this and nobody has taken this seriously enough to fix.
I have not experienced this problem with any other Linux variant, but consistently experience this with Linux Lite.
Looking forward to some constructive ideas - especially those that go beyond the ones posted in the other past threads on topic

I've been trying to install firefox but it's not working, I just switched over from windows and fr why is it so complicated to just download a browser I'm crying. I go to the site and click download but it doesn't do it normally, it downloads a file instead of the little firefox icon, and when I click on it it's just a list of what the file contains. When I ggld it there was a way to do it thru a package manager, so I went ahead and searched what that was and when I found it on the pc I clicked on the firefox with a little sun next to it and installed that bcs there was a whole bunch of firefox there, it says it's installed but it's nowhere? I really don't know what's happening. Please note that I'm tech stupid so make it really simple. I'd post a screenshot but idk how.
