[SOLVED] - Updating LL Causes Kernel Panic
Posted by: mm79 - 03-10-2015, 11:36 AM - Forum: Installing Linux Lite - Replies (4)

Hi, I had to reinstall Linux Lite 2.0 on my old PC. But after upgrading are not able to install the package of Italian language, having to stop the process (download failed).
Now turn on the PC, and instead of the loading screen of Linux Lite, the PC shows the loading screen of Ubuntu 14:04, then kernel panic and I have to force a shutdown.
Sorry for the imperfect English.
I would understand if I try to reinstall solve?
E 'already happened to other users?

  Linux Lite 2.4 Beta Screenshots
Posted by: valtam - 03-10-2015, 06:29 AM - Forum: Linux Lite Software Development - Replies (17)

Here's some screenshots, I'm hoping to release this Beta within the next 2 weeks. I'm in the process of updating the Help Manual, then I'll move on to the upgrade script. Everything is in place, it just requires testing.

  Problems with CPU/GPU Integraded Video
Posted by: hcasarrubias - 03-10-2015, 02:07 AM - Forum: Video Cards - No Replies

Hello forum people and developers, I have a few questions in regards to the new release Lite 2.2, I was Using the 2.0 and I gave up on it cuz even though I had lots of help from you I could not get a respectable video performance, but with Win XP or 7 i have no problems, the issue is this.
Video halts and when I stop playing the audio stops immediatly but the pending frames of the video keep going untill they reach the same progress than the audio reached and then stops.
I tried other distros with no better results so I reluctantly installed Windows again.
A friend told me about this new release and...
I wanted to know if the AMD video Driver for this unusual units that have CPU and GPU integrated has been updated or patched or something that would give a decent video experience, and not having to downgrade the video quality to 240 which is pretty bad for this days hardware.

THE PROCESOR ITS AN amd E-350 WITH Radeon HD 6310 INTEGRATED

I started this new thread cuz I could not find the one of last year before, I apologize for that.

Best Regards

Hector

Bose Soundlink Mini, Making a Connection
Posted by: Les Doyle - 03-09-2015, 06:34 PM - Forum: Other - Replies (4)

Has anyone a solution to connecting my laptop to my Bose Soudndlink Mini?
It will not pair!
I have googled this, and they suggested a complicated solution involving the command line.
I am a new user  to Linux Lite, and I am not familiar with commands.
I am hoping there will be an easier solution.
Thanks

  Make Livemedia of Your System..
Posted by: rijnsma - 03-08-2015, 10:06 PM - Forum: On Topic - Replies (2)

To make a livecd/dvd/pendrive of your system in a simple way I advise Systemback.

It can produce an ISO of your system which can be put on a cd/dvd/pendrive with for instance Unetbootin, Startup disk creator or Image writer.

Of course you can install the livecd/dvd/pendrive to another machine (maybe with another archiecture) too if you like. Just the same as a live-medium you download.  Or install on another partition.
Remastersys made the livecd/dvd/usb via ISO in former days, but didn't work right anymore, because: not maintained.
(The beautiful program Clonezilla for backup for instance is great, but it can't do all this. Partition has also to be at least the same in size.)

Systemback has also restorepoints-option. And it can do more...  Wink
I'm very happy with this software.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/systemback/
https://www.unixmen.com/systemback-resto...ous-state/
See also reviews. It works great.
