Just wanted to share an issue installing LinuxLite 6.4 on MacBook Air. During the installation it is stuck on "LinuxLite 6.4 on "preparing ubuntu-drivers..." even if left like that for many hours. Tried to do a direct install from USB without booting up into live environment. Also tried to install after booting into live environment. Tried to enable "third party drivers" and tried without it. None of it worked and it was always stuck on "preparing ubuntu-drivers..." but not frozen. Just won't go past that point.

Then I installed ubuntu-22.04.2-desktop-amd64 just fine. It went past that "preparing ubuntu-drivers..." phase in just a minute or a few.

Another unrelated note about wireless.
When tried LinuxLite 6.4 Live, it did not pick up the built-in wireless. Had to use an external USB WiFi adapter.
When installed ubuntu-22.04.2-desktop-amd64, it picked up built-in wireless adapter just fine, without updating anything from the internet.

Hello! I just joined the forum as I have not found a solution for my problem by doing a lot search.
I am still on LL5.2 as my disk space is very limited and I don't want to install a system becoming bigger and bigger. Still, LL5.2 works pretty well for my needs. Thank you.
On my PC, which is Thinkpad X230, With Windows 7, I have put 8 rows of desktop icons. (Actually, it is rather easy to change icon spacing with Windows 7. On Linux lite, I have only 6 rows of desktop icons.
So, I would like to reduce the vertical icon spacing and place 8 rows of desktop icons. For me, 8 rows of desktop icons are just good for my eyes.
Is there a way to do this? If anyone can help, I would really appreciate...

My youtube is slow and it will work and play fine for a day or two but then it will have the wheel. if i pause and dont touch it the play will work for 2 mins tops. i dont actually know if its my internet or processer speed etc. Its a cheap old computer but i watch youtube on it and it preforms good enough. if i dont use it for a month it works for a longer period of time.

Hello, im looking for an exact printer driver for the EPSON EXPRESSION XP-7100. In order to use the rear feeding shaft with photo paper, I could not find a suitable printer driver.
In Zorin there is no problem to install the exact driver with lot of features for photo printing, inclusevely the rear feeding shaft. Can anyone help me?

Hi, I've recently installed LL6.4 and have had a couple of problems which weren't present in 5.x. The PC is a dual core 3GHz CPU with 4Gb DDR3 RAM.

Here, the Keyboard characters @ and" are transposed, and I installed LL6.4 with a UK keyboard, Generic 105 Key, using the same keyboard and PC as with the earlier LL5.x installation. The problem persists after a reboot. There may be other wrong keys which I haven't discovered. I examined the many keyboard options available in LL, but the existing setting is by far the best apparent match. Please advise.

Howdy folks,
I was in the process of downloading the usual security and software updates on the updater and the power went off and on.  When I turned my machine back on I checked the updater and no updates were available?  So, I checked using the terminal and received the same using apt-get update and upgrade.  How do I check if the updates completed or not?
