i removed the sound in this video on purpose,
i only installed this release on my upstairs Asus desktop computer. this is a clean install, fully updated, nothing new done to it yet, hoping you can tell me why this is happening.
then i will add things i like,
somewhere while booting up or restarting desktop PC, a image shows up goofy, i dont know why. hopefully some onefrom the linux lite forums can answer or give suggestions for a fix.
Linux lite 5.0 64bit just came out today(6-1-20) a a final release......
so far thats the only thing i have found strange. starts up at a good speed.
i am keeping the desktop PC downstairs on linux lite 4.8................
here is the video link i recorded of it starting up.
at 1:01 in the video is when you see it (the funny image thing ) , so start it at 0:58 to watch it happen..........

I have downloaded Linux Lite 5.0 64 Bit ISO and made persistent live USB using mkusb on Ubuntu 20.04. When I boot in Live Persistent or Live Only Mode I get the following Desktop (Photograph by android phone).
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1i5iu7j8...sp=sharing
If I go back to boot options and select Recovery, Select Resume in Recovery I could boot into normal Desktop of Linux Lite 5.0.
I tried normal boot in persistent as well as Live only options once again and got the same Jumbled Display.

| Additional drivers "This device is not working" false positive? |

I have this false positive message in drivers which states my Intel wifi is not working when in fact it is having no trouble at all on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. Download/upload speeds are fine.
The radio selection buttons "Using iwlwifi driver backport...." and "Do not use the device" are both greyed out and if I select "Continue using a manually installed driver" the Apply Changes button still remains greyed out. So no matter what I do, the Intel Corporation: Wireless 3165 "This device is not working" message remains constantly there under the Additional Drivers tab.
But as mentioned before, wifi works fine on both channels.
Any ideas on what might be going on here? See attachment for screenshot.
PS: Great work on allowing LL 5.0 to boot on a 32bit UEFI system to install, this Compute Stick PC will live on a bit longer without Windows 10

I just installed Linux Lite 5.0. Great release. I have one issue. The Lite Widget goes off the screen. Only a slight bit of the left side of the widget shows on my monitor. Can somebody please help me get this to work correctly? Thanks

Hello all,
I successfully installed the Cinnamon theme for Linux Lite 5.0! It looks awesome, but I will not disclose how I did this as the help guide for Linux Lite states this is not recommended for newbies or beginners. Thankfully I am of not either category! This is what my desktop looks

| UEFI or Legacy ? |

When I installed LL4.8, I went into my computers bios and set it from UEFI to legacy.
So, now that LL5.0 has been released with UEFI support, I'm wondering if I should do a legacy install or if I should
go back into bios and change it back to UEFI.
What would be the pros and cons of each method of install ?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to make a dynamic update client (it updates my IP on noip.com) run by default on startup of the computer. It's a command line based client. I have to execute the client by hand from a terminal each time.
Thanks
