post update wifi connection quirks

I recently noticed a quirk with post update wifi connections which I believe is connected to timeshift and I think some users are attempting to solve it via network settings which have nothing to do with the quirk. I have three/four different LL 5.x installations and only one exhibits the loss of and inability to re-connect to a saved wifi connection after rebooting after updates and it is the one where timeshift is auto-scheduled. I don't use timeshift at all on the others. Also none of my connections are set to auto-connect. The quirk exhibits itself in the following ways:
The user runs updates normally and reboots the machine. The user selects the previous wifi connection that worked before and attempts to connect. The connection fails and after failing is no longer displayed in nm's connection list. Logging out and back in again does not make it reappear in the list. Editing the connection manually and saving it has no effect. All that works, I have discovered after experimenting a bit, is to log out to the login screen and then select shutdown and shut down the system. When booting again all will be normal. I do believe this is related to timeshift auto-scheduling usage and maybe a case where normal reboot code and systemd network management settings are not allowed to reset because of timeshift. As I have explained, logging out and shutting the system down after a normal update reboot alleviates the quirk.

I have been a Mint user for some years, but i found I could not use it on my original Toshiba laptop of some age, as it's cpu and ram was far too small. I read that Lite had had some success for those small laptops so, I downloaded it and Wow, My old Toshiba is working like a song. I'll be perusing the forum and will no doubt be in contact. C G

Can't connect to wifi I have been using before

1) Along with the "system freezing" problem I have been having with 5.4, I also sometimes can't connect to the wifi I have been using for years. I have a modem in the room next to my office and I also have a hot spot on my desk, and sometimes LL will simply not connect to them.
(and occasionally LL will connect to the modem but still will not work)
2) Also - I have a TP-Link TL-WN725N usb adapter, and I don't think LL recognizes it.
This is a dual boot system, and Windows still connects to both easily and they both work well.
suggestions?

Hi there,
I need some help to set up my Epson et-2750 inkjet printer. It is connected to by PC via a usb cable.
I downloaded and installed the EPSON drivers and utility - the scanner works perfectly, but the printer doesn't.
When I use the menu setup, it sees the printer but I can't print the test page.
Wen I use the CUPS web interface - same problem.

Losing Wifi hotspot when connecting to signal

TL;DR: Wifi hotspot on PC disconnects when phone tries to connect to it.
New to Wifi. I bought the following wifi network adapter to make my PC a hotspot for my new smart phone to connect to:
![[Image: 14931641.png]](https://multimedia.bbycastatic.ca/multimedia/products/1500x1500/149/14931/14931641.png)
I could finally make it work by installing the driver from kelebek333 (from the PPA repo).
I created a wifi connection with a method similar to this one. (The IPv4 & IPv6 settings are set to 'shared to other computers')
I can activate the connection successfully, but as soon as I turn the phone on and it tries to connect to the wifi signal, the PC connection drops. Sometimes, it can last for a few seconds, just enough to download some notifications. Sometimes it drops by itself, but I think it is because some of my neighbors' machines try to connect to my wifi signal.
What could be the problem? The driver? The hardware itself? Wrong set-up? Some info about my system:
